The Coorie House Project is set in the grounds of Rossie Young People’s Trust, is a new initiative which will support siblings who have been separated by the care system to spend meaningful time together in a fun, safe and dignified way. This will include children and young people placed at Rossie and their families, as well as those from communities across Scotland.
Brothers and sisters who do not, or cannot live together, should not be disadvantaged in the time that they can spend in each other’s company. A high-quality environment with caring, knowledgeable, trauma-informed supporters will enable children and young people to make happy childhood memories within the relationships that will last the longest in their lives.
The project will see volunteers matched up to sibling groups who will come to visit Coorie House, our purpose-built lodge and outdoor play area, and enjoy a fun, bespoke session which has been planned to meet their individual and familial needs.
