Secure Care Standards Launch Party

By February 9, 2021 No Comments

A day of home baking chocolate krispies, sausage rolls, and other treats helped our young people enjoy their Secure Care Standards launch party.

The Secure Care Standards ensure support is provided before, during and after care, and that the rights of children and young people, facing extreme vulnerabilities and risks in their lives, are respected.  The new Standards will deliver a consistent, unified approach to caring for this vulnerable group in all council areas.

We enjoyed some virtual VIP visitors at the party: Debbie Nolan from the Children’s and Young People’s Centre for Justice, Beth-Anne Logan, formerly part of the Secure Care Strategic review, and Paul Sullivan from Celsis all joined us via Teams video calls. They thanked our young people for all their contributions and showed them how their work is being shared via the Secure Care website to reach as many people as possible.

Young people received a goody bag, contents courtesy of Debbie Nolan and bag courtesy of the Independent Care Review.
